What is Rotary?
Rotary is a service organization of business and profesional leaders united worldwide who conduct humanitarian projects, encourage high ethical standards in all vocations, and work toward world understanding and peace.

When and where was Rotary started and by whom?
Rotary was founded on February 23, 1905, in Chicago, Illinois by Paul Harris who was then a young lawyer. On that day he met with three other businessmen - a coal dealer, a mining engineer, and a tailor in the tailor's office.

What is Rotary International?
Rotary International is the association of Rotary clubs throughout the world and which holds as its principle motto "Service Above Self".

The Rotary Club of LaGrange was charted on June 25, 1925 and is celebrating it's 75th year of service to Oldham County. There are currently about 85 members in the club. The club's membership comes from a broad spectum of business, professional, and civic men and women in the LaGrange- Oldham County community.
